Intel researchers are actively engaged in developing solutions that combine 5G and beyond networks with AI and Machine Learning (ML) intelligence. Intel and the National Science Foundation (NSF) are also jointly sponsoring a three-year university research program on “Machine Learning for Wireless Networking Systems (MLWiNS),” which seeks to accelerate fundamental broad-based research on wireless specific ML techniques. The program will research ML techniques to drive a new wireless system architecture and design, boost spectrum utilization, and enhance distributed ML/AI computation over wireless edge networks.
